Gratitude Groups (facilitating reflection)

Facilitated Reflection Groups, with an emphasis on gratitude and meaning. For patients and health care professionals, or any group with a common interest.

Gratitude has proven benefits for the body, mind, emotions and spirit. By using a gratitude focus for group reflections, I provide a novel approach with different benefits to standard debrief sessions.

Participants enjoy the sense of support, connection and community from these group meetings, and learn from each other.

Key Logotherapy principles are also introduced, as appropriate, during discussions.

Through an initial 6 week introductory course, individuals are supported to start their own daily gratitude practice. During weekly meetings (60 - 90min), insights are shared with the group.

Group size 8 - 10 individuals.

Confidentiality is a requirement of attendance.

Cost (NZD): $ 300 per group session (90 mins)

                      $ 250 per group session (60 mins)

"I just wanted to let you know how valuable I found the gratitude course...  Having finished treatment last year I am now in that stage of awaiting the return of my cancer which could be next week, or in 10 years, and there is little support for those of us trying to manage this strange new world we are in. "      – S R (patient participant)
